The Touch

In the third Abarat book, Absolute Midnight, there's a scene where Christopher Carrion talks to Candy and they touch hands so that Carrion may search her soul (explaining why would involve spoilers, so I won't. )
I was struck by this, for some reason, so this is what I imagined the moment looking like.
